Mi Universo
October and November are months where it rains a lot here. Rain here is somewhat like snow in the Midwest, just a little bit can cause a lot of trouble. Well last Tuesday for one of my English classes it rained mucho! Most of the students stayed home as they walk to class. I myself was an hour late because of traffic. We ended up having a Bible Study and sign-a-long. We sang the following which is one of my favorite songs, “Mi Universo.”

Yesterday was the last Sunday that Pastor Martinho will be in Sora serving as the Pastor. Pastor Martinho is from Brazil and was called by the national church of Panama to serve Emanuel Lutheran Church in Sora four years ago. He recently received a call from Brazil that he accepted.

Seven women, many talents, diverse backgrounds, and one desire: to serve the Lord. The first ever deaconess retreat in Panama, at the Avalon Grand Resort in Las Cumbres, was a clean refreshing break for a group of women who were ready to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
