“Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. We are missionaries living in Panama striving to serve the Lord in what He called us to.

James is the Communication Specialist for Latin America which means he travels to all the countries with missionaries and mission projects funded by LCMS World Mission. He will be reporting back on what the Lord is doing with those projects. He will be writes the Regional Newsletter along starting a regional blog with videos and endless things to try to connect people with the missions going on here in Latin America.

Christel teaches English classes at two of the five Lutheran churches here in Panama. English can be a very desired language for people here as it can lead more job opportunities. However the main purpose of English Classes here is to invite people in the church and share the incredible news God has for them. Christel is also working in the Latin America office doing various activities to further the work in Latin America.
